Concert Tour Desktop Publisher

A DTP Simulation That Will Literally Get Your Students Rockin'!

Students use their desktop publishing skills to set themselves on a national concert tour.

Description

Concert Tour is an exciting simulation, in which students get to take their desktop publishing skills on stage as they create and design a series of documents for their own concert tour band.

Students develop their own band name, logo, and a variety of creative documents that they will need to market and promote their band. From concert T-shirts and event posters to CD covers and promotional frisbees, your students will be fully engaged in honing their creativity and design skills.

Features
  • Creative documents from designing a guitar pick to creating backstage passes, students get hands-on practice in using and applying desktop publishing skills to create a professional image for their own concert band.
  • The simulation was developed for use with industry-standard DTP software.
  • The self-paced, individualized format allows students to work at their own pace with instructor guidance.
  • Non-consumable workbooks so students do not need to write in the workbook to complete the simulation.
  • The simulation is fully customizable so the teacher is able to have students complete all of the projects or select only those that meet course objectives and/or timeline.
  • Completion time is approximately 15 - 25 hours (if all projects are completed).
  • The simulation includes a total of 18 projects.
  • Sample band documents are included.
  • After each new project is introduced, students are provided with professionally designed documents of the sample band "Stonehenge."
