During their internship, step-by-step instructions and illustrative screenshots guide students as they develop key skills in Google Sites and build their first website featuring client logos, videos, embedded Google applications files, and more. Then, after landing the position of Lead Web Designer, students are challenged to make their own layout and design decisions as they build robust sites for new clients, collaborate with other teammates, and pitch their finished work.

Meet the Clients

As web designers for InSites Web Designs, students will build and design websites for three different businesses:

Ocean Action Project is a national non-profit organization that uses education, outreach, and coordinated volunteer efforts to help protect and preserve the country's oceans and beaches.
  style=Cityside Sweetery is a popular chocolate shop and candy manufacturer located in downtown Nashville, TN well known for its hip atmosphere and innovative candy creations.
  style=Virtu-Strings is a subscription-based virtual guitar lesson business offering beginner to advanced video lessons in a variety of topics in acoustic and electric guitar, as well as other membership perks.
eTextbook License Information

Transferable eTextbook Student License: One license is required per student per term within a given school year. Once a term is completed, licenses can be reused. The number of licenses required is equal to the maximum number of students using an eTextbook within one term. See example below:
