Access to each individual title is determined by the purchased duration of either 6 months or 1 year. The start of the 6 month or 1-year duration begins when the access code is redeemed – not on the purchase date or when you received them from us. For instance, if you purchase 100 access codes for school year 2018/19 but only redeem 75 codes, you can use the remaining 25 codes for the next school year.
Instructor resources can be found by selecting the "Resources" icon from within the eReader interface. From there, select the "Resources" tab. Teacher accounts will show both teacher and student resources. Student accounts will only show student resources.
Student passwords can be reset by a teacher from within the eCTE admin portal as follows:
NOTE: Students can change their password at any time via the Profile icon located in the upper right corner of their Bookshelf.
The eCTE Admin Portal has different uses depending on how your account is set up. In most cases, you'll find the admin portal useful for resetting student passwords or disabling a student account (thereby enabling use of that license for another student).
There are additional uses for the admin portal that include student/teacher rostering and class management. You will be provided with additional instructions on how to use these features if your school or district has chosen to implement them.
No problem. Access codes can be redeemed at any time and they don't expire. For example, that means you can choose to use some of your access codes right away and then save the rest for the next school year.
Transferring access from one teacher to another is permitted. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request the transfer. This is a simple process, but does require a new access code to be provided for the new teacher(s).
eCTE will support Single Sign-On and automated class rostering using Clever beginning in 2019. Manual roster uploading of student and teacher accounts is supported today via a spreadsheet file upload process.
Yes, eCTE supports LTI 1.1 integration.
eCTE is powered by Kitaboo, a cloud-based digital content platform. In some cases, emails are generated by eCTE but still carry the Kitaboo branding. This is temporary as we finalize integration of our content and the Kitaboo platform.
Yes, eCTE is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA standard when accessed via a web browser or through one of the available Windows or Mac desktop applications.
